A Shepherds Tactical Training Course
Our Self Defense Texas State and Federal Law Course is designed to help students gain a clear and practical understanding of the legal responsibilities surrounding personal protection and use of force. This course focuses on education and awareness, providing students with the knowledge needed to make informed, lawful decisions when protecting themselves or others.
Instruction takes place in a classroom setting and covers Texas state laws as well as applicable federal considerations related to self defense. Topics include use of force and use of force continuum principles, duty to retreat and stand your ground considerations, defense of self and others, interaction with law enforcement after an incident, and legal responsibilities following a defensive encounter. Information is presented in a clear and approachable way, allowing students to ask questions and engage in discussion.
This course is informational in nature and does not include physical defensive tactics or hands on training. It is designed for students who want a deeper understanding of the legal framework that governs self defense decisions, whether they are new to training or experienced practitioners.
Students will complete a written assessment at the conclusion of the course to confirm understanding of the material presented. This assessment is intended to reinforce learning and ensure comprehension, not to create pressure or intimidation.
This course is an excellent option for individuals seeking clarity on self defense laws, parents, community members, or students enrolled in defensive tactics training who want to better understand the legal side of personal protection.
